Fluorobenzene is mainly used as the main raw material for the production of antipsychotic drugs such as fluoroquinolone butanol, dapagliflozin, trihydroperidol, trifluoromethylpiperidine, pentafluorolide, quinolone drug ciprofloxacin, etc. It is also used for the identification of pesticides, insecticides, ovicides, plastics, and resin polymers. The condensation of fluorobenzene with γ – chlorobutyryl chloride can produce γ – chloro-p-fluorophenylbutanone, which is commonly used in the synthesis of haloperidol and is a commonly used antipsychotic drug in the butyrylbenzene class.
