High temperature resistant coatings use light stabilizer— NENGYUE LS 123

NENGYUE LS-123 is a new type of hindered amine stabilizer for liquid amino ethers. The product has a low alkalinity and minimizes the reaction with acidic components in the coating. It can effectively improve the life of varnish as well as reduce defects, such as preventing varnish cracking and gloss disappearing. What’s more, it can also prevent paint from pulverizing.

Here are some recommended applications for NENGYUE LS-123: automotive coatings, industrial coatings, decorative coatings, wood coatings and varnishes. It is specially developed for high solids, acid catalyzed automotive coatings and industrial coatings such as double coated metal thermoset acrylate metal flash systems or single layer thermoset acrylic varnishes and polyester systems.

Its superior performance is reflected in the following applications:

The refinish for alkyd/acrylate air-drying automotive.

Oxidized alkyd paint and varnish.

Two-component non-isocyanate coating.

In addition, the liquid NENGYUE LS-123 is easily emulsified in waterborne coating systems so that can also be used in a variety of waterborne coatings.

NENGYUE LS-123 works more effectively with UV absorbers.

In wood coating applications, NENGYUE LS-123 is used in combination with UV absorber UV-384 or UV-1130 for air-drying alkyd paint. The light stabilizer mixture can be added to the film forming lacquer and decorative paint.

Recommended dosage (relative to resin solids):

Automotive paint and industrial paint:

0.5-2.0% NENGYUE LS-123 + 1.0-3.0%NENGYUE UV-1130 or UV-384 or UV-928 or UV-400

Decorative paint and wood lacquer:

0.5-2.0% NENGYUE LS-123(use alone) or+ 1.0-3.0% NENGYUE UV-1130 or UV-384

The optimum amount of NENGYUE LS-123 to achieve the best results should be selected according to the experimental results.
